The nation's leader made a trip to meet with defense personnel in the Donetsk region on the start of the week. Kyiv's aerial vehicles targeted a production facility approximately 1,300km inside Russia at Sterlitamak. Local officials reported an explosion at the industrial complex that caused its water treatment facility to partially collapse, adding that the cause of the explosion was not known. The armed forces leadership stated there was considerable damage to the plant.

Ukraine's military confirmed attacking a petroleum facility at Kstovo in the Russian region to the east of the capital. The extent of the damage was being assessed. The territorial leader confirmed an attack by multiple unmanned aircraft near the refinery.

Moscow's Military Strategic Shifts

National guard personnel will now have to protect fuel facilities against aerial attacks after the Russian leader enacted a decree on the start of the week extending their entanglement in the conflict. The Russian ruler also approved legislation permitting draft enrollment throughout the year whereas before it happened only during limited periods in cooler seasons.
