Iran is ready to restart nuclear talks with the United States provided that it is handled with "respect" and "respect", Iran's top diplomat has announced.

Prior Talks Unexpectedly Concluded

The prior phases of talks between the US and Iran were concluded unexpectedly and acrimonious end on 12 June when Israel, with US support, targeted Iranian nuclear sites in a fortnight-long engagement that concluded with the US president claiming the sites had been eliminated. Following this, Western states used their privilege to reinstate international penalties, but Iran asserts they have not had a significant effect.

Magic Solution Offered

Iranian officials claimed they felt they had reached a "perfect agreement" to the enrichment issue in prior discussions, when it was settled an local partnership with Washington's engagement could process nuclear material. Each party would have been able to claim victory since home-based processing would have remained and the US could be confident that Iran's nuclear programme was exclusively peaceful.

It had not been agreed in the negotiations that American atomic experts could work on Iranian soil, but that was a logical implication of the partnership suggestion. Officials asserted three times they had reached agreement with Trump's special envoy the US official only for the arrangement to disintegrate due to "detractors in America".

Existing Position

In his speech to the forum, intended to depict the US as a hegemonic power that exploits the notion of worldwide standards, Araghchi stated the fortnight-long engagement revealed the conflict could not be ended by military means. He said the attacks commenced with a American requirement for an unconditional Iranian surrender and concluded with an absolute demand for a halt to hostilities.

Iran is convinced the initial Israeli attacks were executed with complete American awareness and collaboration, making trust hard to restore.

Negotiations Remains the Final Answer

Araghchi declared: "It was not Iran that had deserted dialogue; it was America and the European states that had repeatedly sought to enforce their desires during the talks. Negotiations can still be viable and continues the primary solution to settle disputes, but its standards, regulations and principles must be adhered to."

"If they address to the Iranian people with the language of dignity and honor, they will obtain a response in the equivalent tone."

Recovery and Rebuilding

In what is portrayed by Tehran representatives as the struggle of restoration and reconstruction, the foreign minister stated he was assured Iran's military capacities "have significantly improved than preceding 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been reestablished. We gained multiple understandings from this conflict; we have come to know our personal limitations and the weaknesses of the adversary."

He stated: "We successfully passed this war. Our atomic expertise, which they aimed to destroy, continues to exist. The installations and gear, if damaged, will be restored; what is essential is the resolve of the Iranian people and then the unity of the country that they targeted, but were unable to break. The nation of Iran have become more resilient, more united, and more endorsing of the government and the state in the wake of this assault."
