The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.
Former twice world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really proceeding.
